Our Nazarene Beliefs
There is one God.
We believe there is one God, who has always existed and will always exist. We believe that He is creative and holy and that His purposes are carried out in this world. We also understand that God's nature is "three-fold," and He exists in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Through Jesus we are saved.
We believe that Jesus lived a blameless life, was crucified for our sins, and after three days rose again to be with the Father in heaven. The atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race, and whosoever repents and believes in Jesus Christ is justified and saved from sin.
We are called to holiness.
We believe in entire sanctification. After we are saved, we need the fullness of God's Holy Spirit in our hearts. When we make a complete commitment to Him, He cleanses our spirit, fills us with His perfect love, and gives us the power to live a holy life in obedience to Him.
We are called to missions.
We are a sent people, responding to the call of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to go into all the world, witnessing to the Lordship of Christ and participating with God in the building of the Church and the extension of His kingdom.
